SUCCESS COMES WITH A PRICE TAG!
If there is one great lesson I’ve come to learn is the fact that success comes with a price tag. No one achieves sustainable success without having to pay the price.
Many people will tell you about their success but will not tell you the story behind the success. To me, the story is more important than the success. You see, it’s the story behind success that encapsulates the process that ‘cooks’ success. Really, it’s the process that gets you there!
It’s also imperative to know that it’s the process builds the foundation of one’s success. The foundation is critical because it is what sustains one’s success. The person who chooses to use shortcuts and forgo this process never achieve any sustainable success. What they call “success” is actually built on quicksand. You definitely know what happens to a house built on quicksand. Sooner or later it crashes on you!
The process is also essential in molding a person for greatness. I’ll tell you… Giants are not made on stage. Giants are made behind the scene. Before you see someone incredibly successful on stage, it is important to know that they’ve spent countless number of hours working behind the scene. The real work –the learning, the sharpening, and the straining– happens behind the scene, where no one sees.
Perhaps, one of these days, you need to go to the studio for you to realize that the 5minutes song you enjoy, actually took countless number of hours and days to compose.
The one-hour movie that makes your heart leap actually took countless sleepless nights to produce.
We all adore Apple products for what they are today. However, when we go back to history, we’ll be amazed by what Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak had to go through to make the dream possible.
This is the point I want you to take to heart: Good things will never be handed to you, and no one will bring you your dream on a silver platter. It doesn’t matter how breathtaking your dreams are, if you’re not willing to put in work, time, and effort, it is safe to say that you should not hope for any reward.
More than anything, you need to pay the price! Otherwise, you’ll never see your dream come to pass. You’ll just dream the dream, but you’ll not live the dream.
My greatest desire is to see you move from dreaming the dream to living the dream. So, pay whatever price it takes.
Greatness is your birthright! Go for it with everything you’ve got!
