DON'T JUST COUNT YOUR DAYS, MAKE THEM COUNT! - James Serengia

DON’T JUST COUNT YOUR DAYS, MAKE THEM COUNT!

In Ephesians 5:15, the Bible says, “Be very careful on how you live, not as unwise but wise, making the most of every opportunity… Therefore, do not be foolish but understand what the Lord’s will is.”

Under the sun, we all have 24 hours. The only difference between you and I, or any other person for that matter is on how you spend your time.

Majority of people spend most of their time sleeping, commenting on gossip blogs, arguing with strangers on things that have nothing to do with their journeys, watching useless programs, or just killing time. Maybe they forget that time is the very stuff that makes up life. Let me be clear, if you are in the habit of killing time, you will eventually β€˜kill your life’. You see, the way you spend your time is the way you are spending your life. Are you investing in your time or just merrily pissing it way?

The fact is, you are who you are today based on how you spent your time and the choices you’ve made up until this moment. If you want to improve the state of your life, and most importantly, the state of the lives of those around you, you must change the way you spend your time.

Don’t just count your days. Make every day count! Make sure you account for every single minute of your day. At the end of each day, you should ask yourself these questions:

Did I make good use of my time today, or, did I waste it?

Did I make, at least, one step towards my dream, or, did I go through the day unfocused?

As you take the challenge to answer the questions above, I want you to remember this: Epic life is not built by what we do once in a while, it is built by what we consistently do.

Life is like a mist. We’re here one moment, the next we’re gone. God has given you this day as a gift. What are you going to do with it?

I challenge you to be wise and make good use of every single minute of your life. This is what will determine the kind of person you are, and the kind of person you become!

The clock is ticking; let’s make a difference!
