Don’t be too “cool” to sell

Whereas the rich people are willing to promote themselves, poor people think negative about selling and promotion. They are too “humble” or too cool to ask for what they want. In fact, they view those who promote themselves as being greedy or attention seekers –and that’s why they remain poor!

Humans are not mind-readers! You’ve got to be bold and promote yourself or ask for what you want!

Suppose you have a cure for a deadly disease I’m suffering from. What will happen if you are too afraid, too cool, or too shy to promote your service to me? Unfortunately, I’ll die from my ailment while you have the cure in your purse.

You must have heard of this old aphorism, “If you build the best mousetrap, the world will beat a path to your doorstep.” Well, that will only be true if the world knew about your mousetrap!

Don’t feel bad about selling because someone conditioned you to think that “tooting your own horn” is being impolite. As a matter of fact, everything in life is about selling. If you can’t sell you’re doomed for life!

Think about it this way, if you want to propose to the girl of your dreams, you must speak up man! That’s selling. If you’re an evangelist, you must share the gospel. What’s that? That’s selling. If you want votes, you must sell your ideologies.

The point is simple: You can have the best product/idea in the world, but no one will buy it until you promote it in one way or another.
